Man I can not wait for Lost to begin tomorrow night. I am excited about watching the recaps tonight though.

I am moving our pizza and dessert night to Thursday night in honor of the best show on tv returning. I have been craving rice crispy treats so that is what I am making for dessert. I like to use half regular rice crispys and half cocoa crispys. Is it crispies or crispys? Actually I think it is technically Rice Krispies. LOL.

Anyway...it is raining today. I have to mop the floors and do a load of sheets and towels. Then I am done done done with housework for the week. That is nice. Just the regular picking up and straightening but nothing too unbearable.

Yesterday I went to the grocery store and bought a pint of blueberries. I plan on making blueberry muffins this weekend. Oh yeah!

Okay...on with the cleaning. But first some wheat-free frozen waffles and yogurt.

Lost is great. If you can catchup on DVD I would recommend it.

you know rice krispies have gluten in them, right? i only ask because a lot of people are not aware of this. ok but back to the topic: i have been craving rice krispie treats like CRAZY. i was gonna make some with the crisp brown rice cereal (basically brown rice krispies, GF) and kosher marshmallows.... and then I had to go and get on this stupid south beach diet. no more sugar for me. bah.

blueberries! good idea. i think some time this weekend i'm going to make unsweetened blueberry muffins with coconut flour (which is naturally sweet but also low-glycemic). that sounds even better than rice krispie treats, in fact.

yeah...rice krispies have all kinds of crap in them. but i will deal with it because i HAVE to have it. LOL. i don't have celiac...i am just wheat and oat intolerant. i am actually finding that i can do wheat in moderation and have no problems. i went off wheat for 3 or 4 months and now my body seems to tolerate it better. not sure if that makes sense.

how is the south beach diet going?

what's in rice krispies is barley so then you should be fine. well if you're not celiac and don't have a major gluten intolerance, than it makes total sense to try to reintroduce offending foods in small amounts. that's how they're treating food allergies with kids more and more these days - even going against convention by feeding small amounts of peanut butter (in a medical environment) to peanut allergic (anaphylactic) kids and finding that over time they can make them able to tolerate small amounts.

south beach is... i don't know. i know i'm eating healthier, which is great. but i haven't lost any weight, whereas my GF has lost 15 lbs in 3 weeks! (I know that's probably because she had a lot of water weight to lose, and because the SBD is really far from her previous diet - But still!) I'd be happy with one or two pounds a week, but even that hasn't really happened. yet my cravings for foods that aren't good for me are slowly decreasing and i'm more thoughtful about my food and when I eat it... and i dunno, maybe if i keep tweaking it i will eventually lose weight but right now I feel like the one freak that SBD didn't work for.

actually a holistic doctor told me that i could probably start eating wheat and oats again in moderation....and he was right. i still like to find alternatives as it just makes me feel better and is healthier all around I think.

i wonder if other GF folks on the SB diet have had similiar experiences? my theory is that if you are already GF and you try to cut the sugars your body may not react as quickly.

hopefully you can find something that works. wanting to loose weight sucks. why haven't they invented a pill that actually melts the weight off overnight...or some sort of contraption like on *the jetsons* that i can just walk through?
